A while back I had spilled some water on my iPhone 7 A1778, and right when I saw it, I powered the device off and took the device completely apart and cleaned all of the components with isopropyl alcohol. When I powered it back on, it seemed okay with the exception of touch function didn’t work for about 5 minutes. After this, I left it alone for a while and the batter ended up dying and when I went to charge it, it started boot looping Apple logo to a black screen repeatedly, but after about 20 minutes of boot looping it turned on. Is there any way to fix this issue? Can I still update since it boot loops?

It’s hard to tell what a phone will do if it gets wet. I could have hidden corrosion under a chip. It could have corrosion that started again. Once they get you can never know how they will act.most repair shops will only repair them just to retrieve data and then they don’t care. They will only work on a liquid damaged phone just for data not to make a working phone.

You have to put a new battery in the iphone , if that doesn’t help you can bring it to a repair shop. It is worth to first put a new battey in it.
