Hello! I use my classic ipod for listening to music only. One day I rolled over it (yes, I actually rolled over it at the gym) and since then it does not turn on. I have tried charging it, turning it on while charging it, connecting to wall and computer and the computer won’t recognize it. Is it kaput? Anything I can do or should I just get rid of it!? I am not good with this… can anyone recommend anything? Many thanks!!
Heidi Bermudez, it may be time to disassemble it. Use these guides to open it up. Check to make sure that all the ribbon cables are connected. Take a look at the logic board and make sure it is not cracked or otherwise damaged. Check to make sure that the battery and the connector are still properly connected.
