I bought and installed a replacement battery from iFixit. My laptop worked as normal for several days. When I traveled to a different country on vacation, I arrived at my hotel only to find my laptop would not turn on without being plugged in into the charger. I am home now, and still unable to use the laptop without having to be tethered to the charger, defeating the purpose of buying a new battery.
Hi, Does the laptop show that the battery is charging when the the charger is plugged in? Create a Win 10 battery report and compare the Design Capacity value versus the Full Charge Capacity value to check the status of the battery. With a new good battery they should be very close in value You may have got a faulty battery.
