I received my replacement battery today and was not impressed with how it looked. I ordered one for an iPhone 5 two years ago and it was perfect, as it should be. I am a huge promoter of the iFixit crew and the core values we share. When I order a new part for an $800 (and highly engineered) electronic device, I take issue when I can’t verify the integrity of said part when it looks anything but new. I am not looking for new rabbit holes.

That’s not used, although great question. China can’t import and export batteries with Apple and Samsung logos on them, or iPhone. Because of this they block the words out before shipping to the states.
