Chosen Solution
I have an iPhone 7 running 11.3.1 that will not charge but it will allow for an iTunes backup to my pc, i can browse the pictures on the device but it does not charge. I have tried 3 different cables, power blocks, and connected it to the pc. My USB power meter shows that the phone is pulling a charge when it is initially plugged in but not after booted up. Any ideas? I am about to reflash the firmware.
I would hold off on flashing the firmware, this sounds more like the battery or lightning port connector has a problem. I would see if CoconutBattery running on your Mac with the iPhone connected can tell you more on whats happening. What is the iOS release you are currently running? And are you running a jailbreak version of firmware?
