Chosen Solution
It began while I was right in the middle of playing Final Fantasy XII. It just suddenly turned itself off. Then when I tried to get it to come back on, it would click “green light” for one second then it would turn itself right back “red light” off! I’ve tried external cleaning with a strong vacuum, but no change.
Most likely the cpu fan inside is filled with dust causing it to over heat. Does it turn on at all now? If it still turns on you may just have to disassemble the unit to clean or replace the fan and cooling vents.
