While using the device, it stops working, but is still on and the bit appears to be stuck in a static position.
Most likely there is something lodged in the internal mechanisms of your router that is causing it to jam. I would start by following the guide on this device page for getting to the brushes and make sure they are cleaned of any large pieces of debris.
