Chosen Solution
The S8 was dead when i tried to power it on, so i put it on the charger and nothing happened! I also changed the battery on it and still nothing happened! After all that i tried charging the phone wirelessly , still no success… I took the Battery out and charged it externally and the phone finally powered on! The first thing i wanted to do was backup my data but when i plugged in the device it just went black (died)! It seems like the phone is just shorting out, but as far as i know the phone has not been dropped and it as never had water damage either! I smart-switched everything to another device but i dont think that resetting the device is the Answer! Does anybody know what could cause the problem? and maybe give me a hint of 1 or 2 things i should look at first to get this issue resolved? Thanks!
Visually inspect the charging port socket on the phone for any physical damage. For example bent / worn down pins. Usually those would result in the pins touching each other causing a short when trying to plug a charging cable in.
