My screen goes black when I receive or make calls. I can answer or dial but immediately the screen goes black. I can hear & the other caller can hear but the screen goes black throughout the call and afterwards. I can’t put the caller on speaker, mute,etc. However, if I plug in my headset then the screen stays on . What’s happening & what can be done to fix it?
Your proximity sensor is being blocked or it’s going bad. easiest thing to isolate that problem is replace your proximity sensor assembly.
That isn’t so easy with the Nexus 5X though is it?
