We have had this Eldft406 Element 42 inch TV for a few years and it has been shutting off on us, now it has become more frequent. We have tried shutting it off for a few hours and making sure it has proper vantilation. Please help
@sboyea21 this is going to be a bit tougher since this is a bit of an off-brand TV. Information is not readily available. From what you are saying it is possible that this is a capacitor issue on the power board. Unplug the set, remove the cover and look at the boards for some obvious damage. If unsure what you are looking at, take lots of pictures and post those with your question. For that use this guide. Common failure on this model is the epprom as well as power IC’s. Pictures will help to try to narrow it down.
