Why Does The Battery Icon Jump And The Phone Is Dinging Iphone 6 Plus

when I try to charge my phone it keeps dinging and the battery icon at the top right keeps jumping back and forth

Try another charging cable and wall adapter. Then try cleaning the charger port if there is any dust or blockage inside. Use a toothpick, tweezers or equivilant to clean out the gunk out of the charging port. Last resort, try changing the lightning dock assembly. I just unplugged my charger from the phone just now as it was 100% charged and the annoying dinging stopped immediately!
