Chosen Solution
The flash light is on as I go to take a photo but it won’t actually flash or take a photo and then a few seconds later the battery is exhausted. (Even after installing brand new alkaline batteries) I have tried resetting the camera and still nothing.
It could be that the flash bulb is exhausted. Consider replacing it.
