Why Does The Reset Filter Light Come On And Won T Go Off Ge Microwave Oven

Open door- pull down tray above microwave cavity- check filter for particulate matter- shake off if possible/ replace if damaged/dirty. Hold filter reset button for TEN SECONDS. Red light will go off
