Chosen Solution
I used an IFIXIT front facing camera and ribbon connector to repair one I ripped while changing the battery. After a lot of fussing with the ribbon connector plug ins, I finally got it reassembled correctly I thought but the phone wouldn’t turn on. I unplugged the battery and reconnected it and now it turns on but only the left hand side of the screen is clear while the right side is a series of horizontal blurry bands that are extensions of what is shown on the left side. It feels like something simple is out of adjustment but I’m at a loss. The plug ins are easy to get wrong. Could one of those be the cause?
I would try re-seating the connectors. If that doesn’t fix it, try a new screen. If neither of those fix it, you might be looking at board issues. Was the phone functional before you attempted repairs?
