Good day everyone, So i bought a new Kingston flash drive (64GB USB 3.0) and i put some files on it. A couple days later i formatted the drive and i scanned it with Windows Defender and defender showed that 2 files were scanned. The drive had nothing, it was formatted so im curious as to why defender would say that 2 files were scanned. I scanned it again and defender said that 4 files were scanned. Now im really curious. Please note that no threats were detected on the drive or my system when i did full scans etc. My PC is running Win 11 Home and its up to date as well. Any enlightenment as to why this happens would be appreciated.
Hi @trinitechguy, Have you checked for any “hidden files” on the drive? Go to File Explorer > select drive > View > Hidden items
