When I got the phone, the microphone worked partially. If u tried to record with it, th the entire lightning connector assembly, except for the little piece of the mic the wedges in the small slot at the bottom of the phone. Now the mic doesn’t work at all. If it record with its, the playback is just crackle silence with little beeps now and then. What is wrong?
I just had a similar issue on an iphone 5s that wasn’t recording sound or allowing the other caller to hear them. Nothing physically wrong with the lighting port which controls this mic but removed and replaced with a new port and it is working clear as day.
