I read some closely related questions about the sound but nothing seems to apply with my phone (brand new phone) the microphone icon shows not only on the texting typing area but also on google in the search bar, I click to turn the microphone on but nothing happens! If I’m in a place where I’m not able to text.. I’d like to be able to click that icon and be able to speak into the phone. it’s just not doing it ..
go to Settings –> Applications Find your messaging application, and check permissions. Make sure under permissions, you have allowed access to microphone.
