so I own a 1994 civic dx and my guages stoped working, One Day I was just driving, used my turn signal and my speedometer went up and down then it never turned on again. So now when when I’m driving and my speedometer is at zero, my temp goes to cold and my gas goes to empty, but some of the lights still work… switched it with a different cluster thinking that was it and same thing, light work signals and gauges don’t, if anyone knows what could be the problem please help!!
@torres367 check for a bad ground or connection. Remove all connectors and check those. Try the cluster self diagnostic test. Press and hold odometer button Turn parking lights on. Turn ignition to ON Turn parking lights OFF, ON, OFF then press odometer button 3 times. You can start the engine in the mode but the gauges will not work. To cancel this mode shut off ignition. Of course you also want to check all of your fuses. I think (will verify later) that your backup light also fuses the gauges. Let us know what you find
if your gauges such as the fuel gauge and the heat gauge and the rpm meter gauge and the indicators dont work at all there is a blown fuse its 20amps fuse change that fuse and if these problem occurs again there might be a short somewhere in the wires.
