My radio was working perfectly. Suddenly it began making an odd Tock, tock, tock sound then silence.. Can tune in to wavelengths but total silence. Car is an 02 Mondeo saloon.
@booty49 we would need to know what make and model the radio is. Always check power to the radio, the antenna and the sound may have come from a bad suppression filter.
You may be right in your diagnosis but I wouldn`t even know where to start, and being 85 years old, I am somewhat limited in agility needed to try tracing wires, dismantling etc. It is a 6000CDs E-ON. Thanks for your reply but you are rather along way away to be of much assistance. Leonard Bruce.
