So I plugged in my phone to charge before going to bed (like i do almost every evening) but the next morning when i went to check on it, it was completely off. I assumed it didn’t charge and plugged it in again and left it for about 2 hours but still it was completely off, it was not even displaying that light at the top like it normally does when the phone is on…it’s been about four days now and my phone is still refusing to turn on no matter what i try…please help me find a solution i really need help. It’s a HAUWEI Y7 Pro 2019 btw. :) Thank you. ~anon
Hi @hisbipolargirl If it’s not showing that it’s charging have you tried a different known working, compatible charger or charger cable or connecting the phone to a computer’s USB port to see if it starts to charge OK? Use a strong light and a magnifying glass to visually check the charge port in the phone to make sure that it is clear of any lint etc which may be preventing a good electrical connection when being charged. Also make sure that all 5 connection pins in the charge port are all there and that they’re straight and parallel with each other, If there is any debris in the port enclosure DO NOT use a pin or probe to try and clear it as you may damage the pins. Try using canned air to blow it free or a vacuum cleaner. If the charge port seems clear then the phone will have to be opened and inspected as to what the problem may be, For example it may be a loose charge port on the charge port board (supplier example only) and all that is needed is for it to be resoldered onto the board.
