My wife and I just purchased the Hover 1 - Journey electric riding scooter less than a week ago and while riding an error code showing “E1” shows up on the odometer display and then the scooter then proceeds to short out not allowing the scooter to accelerate. A similar error code of “E4” also occasionally shows up on the display as well. What does this mean? How can it be fixed and if so how do I go about returning a faulty product and get my money back?

I had the same thing happen on my Hover-1 Journey the first time I turned it on. I contacted Hover-1 support, and they said the E1 error code means there is a “motor hall failure” and that I should return it for a replacement. Fortunately I am within the 14 day return period for Best Buy so I am returning it to them.
E1 or E01 usually means a wiring connection issues or throttle issues. I bought a Reid E4 that the old owner had stacked it then it all of a sudden came up with E01 on display and wouldn’t run, it would still turn on just no go. I bought it real cheap thinking I may had to replace everything on it, but 5 mins after buying it I had it going and rode it home. Was just an issue with brake sensor from when old owner crashed it
I plugged mine in and left it after it said E4 on the screen and came back and it worked again.
Try turning it off and then wait a minute then turn it back on and try it a couple more times.

So my says e001 and idk what the issue is it turns on and everything and I try to throttle it and still nothing what could be the issue I even have images of the bike too which is a modded razor rambler with a 48v setup ?
