My MacBook Pro suffered a nice blow to the keyboard from an object that fell from an shelf 3 feet above. While there wasn’t any physical damage, my fans immediately began to run at peak and began sounding like a diesel truck. I noticed that there was dust all around the unibody case, my thought was that the impact of the falling object caused the dust to escape the laptop from every crevice it possibly could. I opened the back plate up and cleaned out the fans and whatever else I could get to. When I turn the MacBook back on, the Apple logo and loading bar appear, however as it boot, the fans start running at peak again. It takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes to load the login screen. The mouse is lagging, there’s not backlit key board or light on my magesafe. I’ve tried my MagSafe on another Mac and it works. I’ve tried to boot in safe mode, same thing. ive tried to run Apple diagnostics (Press “D” when powering up) - it takes me to internet recovery instead. ive tried to reset SMC, (followed every instruction out there) - no dice. ive only been successful at resetting the PRAM. i don’t see any damage to my RAM, CPU/GPU, my HEAT SINK, or and components on the logic board. what could be the reason why I can’t reset SMC? ’''

UPDATE: Finally got TG PRO installed. Here is the screen capture:

If the device is overheating the fans will run at full speed. Dust can be a factor in this. If it is at startup with a cool device it can mean the heatsink and thermalpaste aren’t doing there job. In this case it took a hit and although you don’t see any damage i think some components on the logic board might be damaged. This is plausible because this is located directly under the keyboard. I would take it apart and see if you can spot any damaged components or broken solder.
