I have the 820-1975-A Motherboard with a 80GB hdd that was confirmed working in another iPod. However with this mobo, it gets stuck on the apple logo. Also, the HDD does not seem to start as there is no noise and no vibration
Have you verified that the ribbon cable is in the correct position? Sometimes we may confuse the connections and either place the ribbon cable backwards or the HDD itself backwards. I suggest looking at the HDD ribbon cable and the orientation of it and the HDD.
