I have farberware super fast percolator model 138B. I believe it could be 20 plus years old and still works great until a few days ago. About 45 minutes after the first perking process of the day and I pour a cup of coffee, my percolator starts perking again. Why does it do this? The coffee is hot and good.

Probably the element which keeps the coffee warm has quit working. That allows the coffee to cool off to the point where the thermostat starts a new perc cycle.
