I have a Dell Inspiron recently reset with Windows 7 Ultimate w/ 8GB of RAM Core i5 and DirectX11…. I have Intel graphics so it seems… This laptop has a very hard time playing 3D graphic games such as Minecraft, Beamng.drive, SpinTires, etc. When playing Minecraft I am using 7.50 gb of RAM. With my other laptop that has 4gb of ram core i3 I run it with 3.75gb of ram and runs so much smoother and faster. So I guess I am asking why this thing is such a piece of junk despite the fact of it being 5 years old. Please have answers (Yes, all drivers are up to date.) This is very frustrating for me and some help would be amazing….
Try downloading a system monitoring program like fanspeed or hwmonitor and take a look at your CPU temperatures. The CPU could be throttling itself because of overheating. 80c is about as high as it should ever get
The games most likely auto-detected your hardware and set your Graphics level to the highest it thinks you can run them. Try turning your graphics down a level or two.
