The battery in my device is draining until the point where it will not turn on. Is there a problem with my battery or the device itself?

Try to charge your device. If it won’t charge at all, the charger may be faulty. If a different charger won’t charge the device, the problem is likely the battery. Otherwise, attempt to turn it on once it reaches full charge. Have a look at the Nook Color troubleshooting page.

What can be done about charging the battery it won’t hold a charge

I am having the same issue. The only different is, I have bought 2 replacement batteries and when they are on the charger, The dock and Nintendo’s stand alone chargers, they drain instead of charge.
