phone wont charge and says the battery is at a dangerouse temp, anything i can do to fix it?

Yes before it explodes. If you cant remove it send it in if you hlave warranty, or find out how to safely dispose of it in your area, and do so immediately. It will swell and explode

I don’t think it’s my battery that’s overheating, but just the phone in general. When I put my finger on the fingerprint sensor to unlock my phone the sensor is unbelievable hot. What should I do?

Change the battery immediately .

It happened when I put charger in and always stuck at 80% and give a red battery light

I had the same problem. My phone would get so hot it was almost impossible to hold. Have your power button looked at. Even if it looks like it’s all the way up if it’s stuck down just a hair it’ll make your phone over heat. My phone runs like a champ now and never gets hot anymore.

phone charges fine with original equipment. if you use a gas station charger it will stop chargiong due to wrong amperage

I downloaded a battery temp sensor on mine. It seems fine. Temp is at 77… then 80… then 86… then BAM 197 and the phone shuts down. Has a warm spot near finger print pad but no where near “hot “

Just restart the phone and it’ll immediately stop! I got my phone from the MetroPCS store for free and only a few times has this happened I will say that my iPhone literally would shut off in the cold and when I try to talk to Sprint or apple about it I just got well you have an Apple device isn’t that great! so it’s not as bad as having a device that when you walk into a warm environment turned back on and a hundred percent but once you go under 40 degrees it’s completely Powers off to dead battery! Just restart the phone complete fix promise you
