HP 15-f387wm In files I can see the DVD under “This PC” but I can’t get it to play. When I right click on the movie options pop up such as run enhanced content. Open auto play, play with cyberlink power media player 14, open, and open in new window. None of those work. As I was trying those different options my girlfriend installed windows media player and the audio cane through. Trying to find the picture I closed everything and it was still playing the audio. I shut down the computer and now trying again.
With what information you have provided….It sounds like a codec issue. Instead of Cyberlink, Download and install VLC Media Player and set that as your default. That media player is free and will play just about anything. You may want to uninstall Cyberlink then scan your system with your antivirus software if it was not a purchased program. Even from the publishers site, Cyberlink like a lot of programs these days, trick you into downloading adware and spyware. Here is a link to a safe download for VLC….. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
