when charging ipad 2 charging adapter gets hot.
Chargers getting hot is normal because about 220 to 240 AC volts are converted in the charger to 5 DC volts. Chargers contain components like transformers, resistors and capacitors (among others) which gives off heat under normal load. Charger getting hot should not be a problem unless it happens even when the device (iPad in this case) is not connected.
Connected to what? Mine is getting hot too. Is it a problem?
