So after a deep clean my PlayStation 4 Slim has a much worse upload speed. It is so bad that I can’t play any online games without lagging out after a couple of minutes. Before it used to be ok but now the upload speed is around 30 kbps. I think it’s maybe because it doesn’t have any thermal paste but I am not sure, what should I do? Thanks for the help!
Hi First we need to get the thermal paste issue sorted as we don’t want to damage our APU do we Secondly we should try and reseat the WiFi cables and make sure there aren’t caught, damaged or stuck behind Any metal shields unless they are meant to be there We should also check if there is a different when plugged into LAN as if LAN has the same issue it could be more of a thermal throttling issue or a board level issue Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)
It could be due to it getting hot, as mentioned above. Alternatively, you may have moved or damaged the wifi antenna. Seek a video on PS4 Slim Wifi Antenna Replacement and follow the steps. Don’t replace immediately, just remove, reinstall and see if helps.
