My Late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro 15" showing black screen on boot. If I connect MagSafe its working sometimes. I tried an external monitor. Its working perfectly when MagSafe connected. When I remove the power adapter the external display also goes to black screen. Anyone can help?
If it is the battery you may be eligible for a free repair program. To check if your qualifying MacBook Pro needs battery service, click on the Apple logo in the menu bar. Then, click on About This Mac > System Report > Power. In the Health Information section, the condition should say “Service Battery.” Let us know your findings.
From the sounds of it, it sounds like the battery either went out or there is an issue with the battery cables.
