Hi, my display issues started several months ago. I had a vertical pink line across the the right side of the screen. Soon blue-ish and pink flickering bars appeared on the screen, and soon after the display totally crapped out and I only see black (with the back light on). Eventually I figured that be manipulating the screen, I could restore some function and currently my screen is blacked out on the right hand side, from where the original pink line began. I’ve hooked up my computer to an external monitor and it works just fine. What do you think is the issue? Is is a display issue and I should get a new screen? Or is is a logic board issue?
berelg770 this “manipulating the screen, I could restore some function” appears that you are having issues with the LCD display itself. You did not tell us how you manipulate the screen to make a determination if it is the cable or the driver board that may cause this. Ultimately it seems like you will have to replace the LCD assembly.
