About two months ago I bought from iFixit Store, and successfully installed, a 1TB Aura SSD upgrade for my 500GB 2014 MacBook Air. But, annoyingly, the computer’s fan now runs almost all the time, even when Activity Monitor registering almost nothing. If I run “Checking your Mac” I get a message “There may be an issue with a storage device: Reference code VDH002.” Any suggestions for fixing this annoying problem? Thanks: Gareth W-W

Did you talk with OWC tech support? I would do that as they may have some knowledge on the issue. There are a few things I would try. First power down your system and disconnect the battery. Carefully remove the SSD and wipe down the contact area with a cotton swab moist with 85% or better isopropyl alcohol. I would also spray the socket with the isopropyl alcohol using a pump sprayer and so can’ed air. How much empty space do you have on your drive?
