On pokemon gold the game works just fine until you say what time it is then the screen goes blank and the music and sounds work you just can’t see the game
The LED backlight is failing. it probably has a hair line crack in it or the solder connection. is it is the solder a reflow will fix it. if not you will need to solder in a new LED
