Why is my iPhone 7 home button not working after fastening the screen down? It was working before and I had to open it up again to replace the charging port but after completing the repair the home button doesn’t work nor is detected by the iPhone.
You probably opened up the phone too much before detaching the screen cables. This is a known issue for iPhone 7, the screen cables cannot sustain ANY tension, you probably tore it.
