My iPhone screen is not cracked but the screen is negative in color and it has black running from the right side to about the middle. The black slowly runs back to the edge after looking at the home screen for a little while, but when I slide it to see the next page of apps the left side shoes up fine (only negative in color) but the left side doesn’t change. What could be wrong and how easy could it be to fix?
I’d check to make sure your LCD is connected properly, and then if possible get a new screen and install it if re-seating your cable doesn’t fix it. If you have another 4S you could try the screen on that one to see if that’s the issue. If it turns out to be a MOB problem than that’s a bigger fish fry and one of the other guys with a bit more experience with logic boards could help you out! :)
Briana, first you want to try to reset your phone. Then you want to make sure that you have you turned off the Go White on Black option (go to Settings > General > Accessibility > switch White on Black to OFF.) If so and none of that makes a difference, start by replacing the display assembly. " black running from the right side to about the middle" sounds like a broken LCD. This is of course based on your description since we do not see what you see. Hope this helps, good luck.
it happens to me also ! have been a week my phone like this. Mine is negative all the way and black also around the bottom side
