I tried to change the battery of my phone, then the LCD connector flex cable just disconnected from the LCD screen part. I tried first to plug it “somewhere” ( then i asked this : How can I “plug” the LCD connector cable to the screen? ) When I tried to turn on my iphone, it doesnt work and it’s getting really hot. Does that mean that the motherboard is toast too ?
Disconnect the LCD cable and try to turn on the phone. See if iTunes recognizes it.
