hello I recently installed my new battery for my iPhone xs. the battery worked fine for 30 min than it all of sudden shut off and I thought the battery just needed to charge since the low battery symbol was on the screen, I let it charge through the night and its still on the low battery symbol on my phone. I initially thought it was the battery that was bad but i bought anew one and the same exact thing happened. i than switched out the battery with a original apple battery and worked fine but now it dosen’t wanna work. any help?
Make sure you’re using a genuine Apple charging cable and if possible use a USB multimeter to see how much charge if any is being taken by the phone. From there you should be able to determine if the problem lies with the battery, the cable, or the charging port. You can try cleaning all of the connectors with some isopropyl alcohol and using some tweezers to remove any dust buildup in the charging port. If after doing all of this the new battery isn’t taking charge from a genuine cable, the charging port is likely the issue.
