Just woke up my laptop and my keyboard is not working at all, Touch Bar and Trackpad both work. Have tried restarting and now can t even get into the computer as it won t let me past the password screen. Nothing spilled on the keyboard, nothing touched it, it’s just stopped working! You either need a new uppercase or the logic board has a problem. either way this is an expensive repair $600 - 1200! See if you can get diagnostics to pop an error and post it here for us to see at least we can tell you which. I would go to an authorized service center or Apple Store to get this fixed.
5 days and tried everything from resetting smc & pram or nvram and nothing worked. drained battery and let computer reset and nothing. today the battery drained, i plugged in the power, computer turned on and miraculously the keyboard now works…..any thoughts on this?
