I have been using ASUS X452C series laptop for about 4 years. Nowadays after some time of opening my laptop the CPU shows 100% and after some times the PC is shutting down. If I use only MS word the same case occur. It is not possible to open any video player because of overheating. I have recently cleaned up the dust of the laptop and my cooing fan is running properly. what can i do now? TIA
If you’re feeling ambitious you can apply new thermal compound to the processor and heatsink. This may improve cooling. Also while you’re in there, double check and make sure there is no dust in any part of the cooling system including fans and fins. Also, be sure to use your laptop on a hard flat surface. Need to make sure your vents have room to pull and exhaust air.
