Chosen Solution
Hi there, I decided to renew the hardware of my iPhone 6 in order to extend its life and bought a new battery, lighting and jack connector, earpiece and loudspeaker from ifixit Europe. Replacing components was pretty easy thank to the guides I found on the website and I did it all in one go. The only exception was the removal of the old battery. I tried taking away the glue stripes as shown in the guide, but they broke and went under the battery, so I had to lever it out with some of the tools. I am afraid I may have damaged something because when I reassembled everything, the lock button didn’t work anymore. Now it may not depend on the way I removed the battery, maybe I just moved something without noticing(?). Does anyone know what I can do to check what happened? Any help is much appreciated.
