I purchased a new battery in the site and installed it today. It came charged about 40% and it is taking very long to charge. The system says it will take another 15 hours to get it to 100%. Any ideas what is going on? Using the same 85w charger as before. Thanks
Well, as far as new batteries from Apple go … new delivery restrictions for Lithium-Ion batteries require that the battery be charged at 25% or less … due to potential fire/explosion hazards, which also require that they ship via ground only transport. So, a new battery will not arrive with anywhere near a full charge.
