About 3 weeks ago my phone cracked from bottom to top because i smacked it on the corner of the table and wouldnt work at all (dont even bother asking). 3 days later i got the screen fixed and it perfectly worked but i was told to make sure to put it in charge before it goes under 20 percent. Which is what i did the whole day until 6 hours later my phone was in charge and i was taking it out about to show my cousin something on my phone and it automatically turns off. I tried EVERYTHINGG, it was charged for 60 percent so i dont understand why it turned off . I tried everything for 4 days straight and got nothing the only rhing that would show would be the apple icon for a second and the battery for like 5 minutes.but then after that day the only thing that should show was a light greem screen and then a black screen. So i stopped using it and just kept it in a safe place. Then 3 weeks after, which is today i had a dream it worked so i got the phone out and charged it and gladly the battery icon showed with three vertical red lines i took the charger out and it showed need charging sign so i put it back in. I tried turning it on and it didnt work. PLEASE HELP ME WITH WHAT I SHOULD DO?? THANK YUHH
It is possible the battery is bad and likely the first thing I would replace. The 5c is aging and so many people use non MFI certified chargers which can damage the IC (integrated circuit) on the bottom of the battery, That IC is your fuel gauge and it sounds like that was giving you false readings. It’s not a difficult repair to do yourself, just go slow and take care. Also make sure you properly dispose of the old battery. The lines on the screen I can only guess may be a bad screen.
