I woke up and started to look for my dualshock4 controller. I found it in my cats water bowl. First thing i did was take it apart and dry/ clean it down to the rubber pads. After reassembling and turning it on i noticed it kept spamming left. So i went on COD IW game into a private match to determin whether or not it was d-pad or joystick. It seemed to be the d-pad based on the button action. So i took it all apart down to the rubber again for a deap clean. Nothing. Still left d-pad spam. I ended up leaving the battery and led light in while i examined it and noticed it was spaming the left d-pad even though the rubber pad and the plastic green line looking thing weren’t even touching. They are a foot apart . I searched the internet to my beast ability and couldnt find anything like this. Can somebody please help me?
Since it was in your cats water bowl, it will be liquid damaged. Opening it and drying it won’t resolve much, you need to thoroughly clean it, use 99.9% isopropyl alcohol, and a toothbrush, and clean the entire logic board. Try not to go over the conductive film circuit board, as it has a coating that allows the buttons to work with it. :-)
