Hi I turned my TV (Polaroid P32RN0038K) on yesterday morning and noticed that the picture was very dark, after a few minutes the screen turned black but there is still sound. I disconnected it from the power supply and after a few hours I turned it back on again. When I turned it on I could see the Polaroid logo but it was very hard to see. Does anyone know if the problem is with the backlight, a bad inverter or something else? Thanks in advance for any advice. Kind Regards M Gray Update (08/17/2021) Hi Thanks for your reply. Yes, I think that the circuit board in the picture is the only circuit board in the set, but I have yet take a few more screws out. The TV does not have an external power supply/power brick . It is a mains cable which is connected to the circuit board shown on the picture below. Thanks again for any help in advance. Kind Regards M Gray

M Gray I recognized this is an old question but who knows. You may still have this TV. It does look like your inverter part has failed. Check the diodes.

Looks like they have failed/are failing and getting way to hot. I would definitely replace those. I would also recap the board. Here is the manual that has all the proper schematics. TP MS3463S PB755 This will help in case you want to rebuild this board. If not, there are still places (mostly european) that sell working used ones. I would go ahead and bypass the inverter on this board with a universal backlight inverter from the usual auction places (about USD$15) That way you can actually still use the TV.
