Hey there, I purchased this laptop from NewEgg refurbished and it had been giving me nightmares ever since I got it. When I first got it, it was superheating to the point I can’t touch it, so I took it to Apple and they found out that battery is faulty and needs replacement. I got the battery replaced yesterday ($60 bucks) and now the charging port and the charger itself is getting super hot!!! What do you guys think is the issue? Thank you so much for your time :-)
The best thing here is to bring it back to Apple as they would repair it under the service warranty! Don’t wait too long. The MagSafe shouldn’t get hot only warm. I’m suspecting there is a deeper problem with either the MagSafe adapter or the DC In-board. Make sure you bring in the MagSafe adapter with you so they can check it out as well.
