My power adaptor is overheating
Generally when a mag-safe adapter starts overheating it has become defective. Please give us the model number printed on it. Is it an original Apple product or a knock off?
It depends on what you mean by “overheating” If it gets warm, thats perfectly normal. But if it gets REALLY hot, like hot enough to burn you, then I would suggest a new one.
