My ps4 is saying over heating its coming on but it won’t stay on long, can you help me?

@poohmommie12 …overheating is typically caused when airflow is blocked and cannot efficiently cool the system. if you are able, i would disassemble the unit, clean the unit thoroughly from dust and clogs (make sure to check the fan and its housing) clean off the old and reapply new thermal compound. this should solve the overheating issue. you can find a guide for disaasembly here: PlayStation 4 Teardown follow steps until you have access to the fan and the housing. follow this guide on replacing thermal paste (applies to all applications, but be sure to only place compound where compound already exsists!): How to Apply Thermal Paste if the issue is air flow and heat disaapation, this will fix it. however if it is a newer game on an older device, then this would be considered normal as the older device tries to keep up with more increasingly graphics intensive games. hope this helps. post back with any other concerns/issues.
