I ordered and replaced my busted ipad 3 glass using the instructions i obtained from ifixit. The instructions were very useful and installation was a breeze. I cleaned all the surfaces that the screen attaches to so the tape would adhere better using some light solvent being careful not to damage any internal components. For the first couple days after the repair all was well. The screen however keeps popping up along the bottom edges and I can not seem to keep it from coming up. I tried using some heat where the tape is and placed some weight on the bottom edge but the issue still exists. Please help. Thank you.
You will need to buy Red Tape. If it came with the black tape or 3M tape is useless i fix more than 10,000 ipad screens and those tapes are not the best the Red Tape i guarentee you you wont have that screen lifting problem .
some times the adhesive needs some heat to activate properly take and clamp it in place and see how that works
