Chosen Solution
So my ipod nano classic works and all but the screen is black.. When i plug into my computer everything is there i just cant see anything on the screen because it went black.. I have tried resetting it and checked the brightness settings but everything is working… Need help.. Dont know if i should get a new screen for it..
lvtrkrgurl78 A1238 is a iPod Classic 7th gen. The issue with your iPod is the backlight. It is possible that it failed on the display end. so I would start with replacing that. The problem you might be running into is that the backlight coil or filter on the logic board may have failed. that means it wont produce a backlight. There are no schematics etc. available for these iPods. WE would need some really good pictures of your logic board. Hopefully we can identify bad components etc. You would also need a multimeter and the ability to solder very small components on some circuit board.
